Oropharma Carmine Mega Forte

As from July Oropharma Carmine will be replaced with the new improved Oropharma Carmine Mega Forte. This new product has a much more concentrated formula and contains 15% L-Carnitine. Moreover, vitamins B6 and B12 have been added to the formula.

Why is L-Carnitine so important?

L-Carnitine is essential for fat burning. L-Carnitine is responsible for the transport of fatty acids to the mitochondria (incinerators of the body) and thus helps the body to produce energy from its own fat storage. L-Carnitine also ensures that less lactic acid is formed during the burning of fat, because of which there is less muscle damage during flying and the pigeons are less likely to get muscle cramps.

Why is vitamin B6 so important?

L-Carnitine is a non-essential amino acid-like compound. This means that the body itself also produces L-Carnitine. If there is sufficient vitamin B6 present in the body, this can help to convert amino acids such as methionine and lysine into L-Carnitine. In this way vit. B6 stimulates the production of L-Carnitine in the pigeon's body. Carmine Mega Forte therefore contains the right amount of Vit. B6 to regulate the extra supply of the body's own L-Carnitine.

Why are vitamin B12 and magnesium so important?

Vitamin B12 stimulates the burning of fat in the body and thus keeps the pigeons in ideal condition by preventing fattening of the body. Magnesium ensures good muscle function and muscle relaxation while flying, thus preventing muscle cramps.

Is Carmine Mega Forte also useful outside the racing season?

Yes it does! L-Carnitine ensures production of quality crop milk in parent birds, which allows the youngsters to grow better and faster. It is therefore also advisable to administer Carmine Mega Forte 3 times/week during the breeding period.
