Complete: more than just timothy for rabbits and herbivores

Rabbits and herbivorous small mammals need a high-fibre feed. That is why the extruded Complete chunks contain high levels of unground, long fibres. Those fibres support the intestinal function and also keep the teeth and mouth in good shape. Moreover, they stimulate the gnawing instinct of these animals.

Did you know that our Complete extrudates contain more than 10 kinds of grasses and herbs that were specifically selected for these animals?
We have exclusive partners seed and harvest this mixture. This allows us to have our own specific mixture continuously at our disposal. Our mixture consists of: timothy, cocksfoot grass, English ryegrass, smooth meadow-grass, meadow fescue, tall fescue, white clover, red clover, meadow foxtail, ribwort plantain, dandelion and milfoil. Our vets have composed this balanced selection based on their own experience and after thorough research. Below we will briefly describe why these grasses/herbs are most suited.

timothy

The advantages of all grasses/herbs for your animal

  • Timothy

  • The ideal replacement for the well-known alfalfa. By choosing the right cut, we get a product with less proteins and more crude fibre. That is exactly what your beloved rabbits are looking for. Alfalfa, on the contrary, is popular with growing rabbits, because it is higher in protein and calcium, and consequently supports their development.

  • Milfoil

  • Milfoil was added to the mixture because of its high crude fibre level.

  • Cocksfoot grass and tall fescue

  • Their low levels of calcium and rich structure make these crops highly suitable for adult rabbits. Moreover, they find these grasses delicious.

  • Meadow fescue

  • Is very tasty and highly digestible. In addition, it is also very helpful with intestinal problems (blockages, diarrhoea and cramps).

  • Dandelion

  • Dandelion is known for its medicinal properties in the case of intestinal problems. It is also packed with high levels of vitamins (A, B, C, D and K) and minerals.

  • Meadow foxtail

  • A plant that is very difficult to distinguish from timothy. It has a very high nutritional value for the animals.
