Bird projects
The generations after us also have the right to enjoy the animals and species that exist today. That is why we like to take our responsibility and support the following initiatives: Loro Parque Fundación and Weltvogelpark Walsrode.
The Loro Parque zoo (Tenerife - Spain) opened its doors in 1972 with 150 parrots and has now grown into a 13.5 ha park that houses parrots and parakeets and many other animals in an as much as possible natural habitat.
In 1994 the non-profit organization Loro Parque Fundación was founded. Since its inception, the foundation has financially supported more than 82 different conservation projects for the conservation of nature and environment around the world (for more than $10 million).
Moreover, Loro Parque Fundación has the world's largest parrots and parakeets collection. More than 4000 birds of 350 different species are housed in the one thousand aviaries of their "La Vera” breeding station. For several species, whose survival in nature is threatened, reserve populations are kept here as a last resort against final extinction.
The Weltvogelpark Walsrode – Germany, originally began as a hobby of businessman Fritz Geschke to breed pheasants and waterfowl. From 1962, the park experienced a rapid development into a major attraction for nature and animal lovers worldwide and became an internationally respected organization for bird breeding and conservation projects. The park houses more than 4000 birds of over 675 different species.
We work together closely with both organizations in developing new products. We provide financial support to both projects and the animals are fed with our products. In addition, you can also contribute by buying the products displaying one of their logos. For each unit sold, we will pay an additional contribution to these beautiful projects.
We can highly recommend a visit to both parks! You can find more information at:
